In college, Lee and I had become fast friends sharing belly laughs in between classes. One day he asked me for my number. He must have been nervous because he had to come back before he even got to the parking lot to ask me for it again; he had already lost it. Thank goodness for determination.

I'm now a marketing coordinator and he's an engineer in his civilian life when he's not saving America in the Army National Guard.
