bang bang

Anyone else gasp at the August cover of Katie Holmes on Elle? It hasn't hit stands yet but will soon. I adore her hair in this shot. I've adored her since Dawson's Creek. Don't hate. Makes me miss my bangs big time. I LOVE blunt bangs. My hairdresser would die if I decided to chop them off again after me kicking and screaming at my Donald Trump combover all the while I was growing them out this last time. In fact, I know she would because I showed her this pic of Katie and she about choked me. She strongly suggested I try clip-on bangs. She even said she would match them to my hair color. Ha!

While I was doing that after work yesterday, Lee was being issued his new combat wardrobe. Without hesitation I told him I liked it a lot better than the digital camo he has to wear in the states. It completely washes out his skin tone and the pallet on this new one is a bit darker making it a much prettier color pallet. We've been together long enough that he knows I'm not joking which prob just makes me ridiculous. Whatev.

one pill in

The pillow I ordered from Pier 1 arrived yesterday.

1. It was poorly packaged. I could see the pillow inside the box when I brought it into the house from the porch. It was taped that good...(sarcasm)
2. The pillow isn't quite what I thought it would be in person. I love the embroidery and the colors. The dots are actually a deep plum instead of the brown I thought I was seeing on the website. Pictures can be deceiving but I like the plum. What I don't love is the green leaves stitched to the embroidered flowers! I think it cheapens the pillow. The lady that sold them to me over the phone never mentioned FINAL SALE so it can't be returned and she didn't include a receipt in the box!
3. I'm going to stitch something onto the leaves to amp of the design. I really do love everything about the pillow other than those dumb leaves.
4. Won't be ordering by phone with Pier 1 ever again.
